Well, it has been way too long since I posted here. I apologize for my absence. It has been a very busy couple of years. Since my last post, I have had a child, moved, and even started going to school again. So much has happened that I won’t go into in much detail because I don’t want to bore you with the details. I now have a 3-year-old daughter, and we are homeschooling her for preschool. While this is the plan, it can be very overwhelming. There are so many curriculums and information out there. I know what is needed for a toddler. I was a toddler teacher for 2 years and taught kids her age and younger, but when you are trying to put together lesson plans for your own children, it is a little more daunting because you want to add and make changes, but not sure how to get started. Please let me tell you, you are not alone. There are many ways to get started. For me I have a preschooler, so I don’t necessarily have to go with a premade curriculum. Personally, I went on Teachers Pay Teachers. Com and found some free resources such as numbers, letters, and even money to make flash cards out of laminated them and put them on rings for easy transport. I made two types, 1 for strict home use and 1 that travels with us. My daughter loves them and asks for them when we are driving, at restaurants, running errands, or visiting with family and friends. I will eventually make or even find shapes to make flashcards out of. While this is just part of it, I also have preschool worksheets, assessment sheets, and workbooks. I have made a homeschool binder to keep up with records pertaining to her education. Each state and country has its own laws pertaining to homeschooling, so please make sure you do your research on the laws in your area. This is not just a polite suggestion; this will keep you from getting into major trouble with the authorities.
Now on to other news, I have been working to build my website, but also my YouTube channel, Twitch channel, and a few other platforms. Mostly sewing, video games, cooking, I will eventually be adding gardening, and some other interests, maybe some book reviews. Please stay tuned for more details.
